Tidy Tips Wildflower Ear Jackets

Designed by mother nature, and hand forged in sterling silver by me, in Van Nuys, California.

After planting my own back yard super bloom (with seeds from Theodore Payne Foundation) 3 years in a row, I spend most of the spring (when I'm not at my bench!) out in the garden, appreciating the beauty of our native flowers and the bees that come to pollinate.  This new design is inspired by the sweetest yellow annual flowers called "Tidy Tips" that resemble little daisies.  They are the floral embodiment of sunshine and happiness- just ask the bees, they concur. 

Ear Jackets- These are meant to be worn with the post in front of the lobe (like a traditional stud), and the jacket component (with the flower petals) in the back of the earlobe.  There are 2 different holes to select from and choose your preferred height for your ear.

INFORMATION ON WEAR: Please take care while wearing my pieces as natural stones and hand-made jewelry can be delicate. To prolong the life of your piece, I suggest you remove it while swimming, exercising, adventuring, etc.

NOTE ON THE ARTIST & HAND MADE JEWELRY

I began metalsmithing in early 2021 and am very excited to bring my new craft to a place where people can share and wear my pieces out in the world.

This piece is not cast or pre-manufactured. Special focus went into crafting the tiny textures and detail to give depth and definition to the design. This piece was completely forged by hand from sterling silver sheet metal, and wire, carefully cut out with a handheld jewelers saw, and soldered or fused with a jewelers torch.

Please understand that handmade goods are never ‘perfect’ in the way assembly-line products are. You will find that every piece varies subtly in terms of color, stone shape, texture, patina, polish and metal finish
